1> take the backpu first

copy flash:bootflash:cat4000-k9.7-6-17.bin tftp:
copy config tftp
2>check if there is no enough space in bootflash , format it

squeeze flash
format bootflash;
it will take around 2 minutes
3> copy tftp flash:

address of remote host[]?172.16.1.5 (ip addd of pc where tftp is running)
file name[]? newimage.bin
flash device name[bootflash]? y
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
copied successfully

4>clear the existing boot flash and set the new one

clear boot system flash bootflash:cat4000-k9.7-1-2.bin(old flash image) OR

clear boot system flash all

set boot system flash bootflash:cat4000-k9.7-6-17.bin(new flash image)

5> check by
show boot
show flash
show run

6>reset/reload

7> sh ver
